As a ROYALS CUP Crew Member, you will have a range of exclusive advantages, including free access to the main event and to the parties and the opportunity to be a significant part of the ROYALS CUP 2025 - all that for just a few hours of work.

Being a Crew Member is especially attractive for non-SBE students since this is the only way to participate. However, this is also an opportunity for SBE students that are not part of the Maastricht Lions Team and still want to participate in one of the major business school events in Europe.

Throughout the event you work in shifts, so you can enjoy the event as a participant during your time off, which is your chance to elevate your ROYALS CUP experience.

  • First of all, you need to be 18 years old or older. As a Crew Member, you will have to work some hours starting on Wednesday until Sunday which are divided into shifts. This includes tasks like giving out food and beverages, setting up and building down, or being a referee. Therefore, characteristics such as openness, communication, and willingness to help are what enable us to make ROYALS CUP 2025 such an enjoyable and well-functioning event.

    Lastly, all participants from Maastricht must host at least three people from other universities. This gives you the opportunity to get to know students from all over Europe. If you know participants from other universities you can name them during the application process and we will do our best to allocate them to you (this is restricted to participants that got their ticket from the university‘s team and not externally). Many friendships have emerged from being a host in the past and we hope that many will follow.

  • As a Crew Member you get free access to all main event locations as well as to the parties on all three days. Moreover, you will be provided with a goodie bag including a Crew Member shirt. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to shape the event and gain an insight in the structure of one of Europe’s biggest student events.

  • As a Crew Member, you are not only representing ROYALS CUP and its values, but also Maastricht University among Europe’s leading business universities. Therefore, we expect everybody to behave in a respectful and exemplary manner.
